Record a shop or office rent receipt in BizHub

  1. In BizHub make sure the right company is open (company name at the top of the sidebar).
  2. Go to Finance › Expenses & bills and tap Record expense — or on the dashboard tap Expense.
  3. Description: e.g. Shop rent October 2026. Amount: the total on the receipt. Date: the date on the receipt.
  4. Category (account): choose 6100 Rental.
  5. Supplier: pick your landlord. Not in the list? Add them first in Sales › Customers & suppliers as a Supplier.
  6. Bill / receipt no.: type the receipt number.
  7. Status: choose Already paid, then Paid from — your bank account, Cash in hand, or Amount due to directors if a director paid with personal money.
  8. Receipt attachment: upload the photo or PDF of the receipt (it is also kept in Document vault).
  9. Tap Save. BizHub posts the double entry for you (Dr 6100 Rental, Cr Bank) and the profit & loss updates immediately.

Not paid yet?

Choose Unpaid (bill) instead. It appears under Unpaid bills; when you pay, tap Pay on that row, choose the account and date.

Rental deposit?

A deposit is not an expense. Record it with category 1150 Other receivables & deposits so it stays an asset on the balance sheet.

Made a mistake?

Tap the ✏️ edit icon to correct the record or the 🗑 icon to delete it — the accounts are updated automatically, no correction journal needed.
